Holidaycottages.co.uk is one of the UK and Ireland’s leading holiday letting providers and is trusted by hundreds of thousands of guests each year. For over 30 years, it has provided quality self-catering holiday homes and a personal first-class service for its homeowners and guests.

holidaycottages.co.uk is committed to supporting causes close to the hearts of local communities where guests holiday. From sponsoring local charities and organisations to promoting environmental initiatives, leaving a positive impact through responsible tourism is one of its key values.

Green Sod Ireland is proud to partner with holidaycottages.co.uk and we are very grateful for their support in funding our Bee Aware program in the West Cork area. The workshop raises awareness of the importance of bees within the agricultural sector.

Funding the workshops allows up to 180 children in the local area to improve their understanding of the role bees play in where our food comes from.

ePower are an Irish owned company that supply and install electric vehicle chargers and accessories for home, business and public customers. We are delighted to partner with a business that is helping Ireland move away from fossil fuels.

ePower recognise the importance of meaningful sustainability and the significance of our work in protecting biodiversity in Ireland.

On this past World Soil Day 2023, ePower pledged to ‘Save a Sod’ for each of their employees as part of our Save a Sod campaign. This support helps us protect the huge array of plants, animals and fungi that live in our sites across nationwide. ePower also helped us deliver a lunch and learn talk on how to protect soil and its importance for biodiversity and promoted our work through their network. We look forward to working together in the future towards our common environmental goals.

Strategic Partnerships

The Kylemore Abbey Global Centre is part of the University of Notre Dame’s global network and has a strong focus on sustainability. It has a centre for contemplative ecology and part of their mission is giving their students a global perspective on sustainability and environmental practices on a local to international scale in the hopes they will bring back this knowledge to campus and bolster the efforts and partnerships directed at the climate crisis.

Working with Greensod:

The partnership between Notre Dame and Green Sod Ireland is an educational based partnership, providing unique education and research, and work experience opportunities for their students and both organisations collaborate to educate the wider community on our work and the importance of ecosystem restoration and conservation.

The Kylemore Abbey Global Centre also provides additional support in the form of PR, donations and facilities access to Green Sod Ireland to help us achieve our goals.
