1. Marketing Lead
The Purpose of Your Role: As Marketing Lead, your role will be to lead a group of volunteers and build out advertising and social media. You will be reporting to an Executive Director and will be asked to provide updates to the Board of Green Sod Ireland.
The Expertise We’re Looking For: Green Sod Ireland is looking for someone with a background in marketing that has experience working in the charity sector. We are looking to expand our media campaigns across all media types to bring awareness to our charity and help showcase our achievements.
Additional tasks in the role includes the following:
- Branding Strategy
- Manages social Media
- Manages website
- Advertise volunteer events and fundraising opportunities
- Assisting in organizing fundraising events
- Provide market research
- Assist in grant applications
- Manages our charity app
The Skills You Bring:
The ideal candidate would have experience in the following areas:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing
- Experience in the Charity Sector
- Experience in leading volunteers
- Experience in writing press releases
- Experience in running marketing campaigns
- Experience in grant application writing
- Experience in Impact Management is beneficial
- Experience in managing social media sites and content creation
How Your Work Impacts the Organisation: We are a grassroots charity who depends on a network of volunteers. You will be working closely with the leaders of: Finance, Partnerships, Land Management, and Education to grow Green Sod Ireland’s presence as we are in a period of growth and reorganisation.

The purpose of Green Sod Ireland is to protect and conserve Irish land in perpetuity, for the sake of its indigenous inhabitants. The land of Ireland is a green gift to all of us. In holding land in trust, we acknowledge and respect it for its own sake, thus protecting its indigenous life from destruction. Green Sod Ireland works with local communities, raising awareness of the health, educational, social, economic and environmental benefits of caring for the land and its biodiversity. GSI currently is managing 7 lands across Ireland which we use to educate local communities and offer volunteer days to help manage the lands.

2. Education Lead
The Purpose of Your Role: As Education Lead, your role will be to lead a group of volunteers and build our education program which includes creating documentation on Green Sod’s land, standardizing the programs we offer, and organizing our Google Drive directory. You will be reporting to an Executive Director and will be asked to provide updates to the Board of Green Sod Ireland.
The Expertise We’re Looking For: Green Sod Ireland is looking for someone with a background in education that has experience working in the charity sector. We are looking to expand our current catalogue of education seminars that will be offered by volunteers. We are also looking to standardise our overview sessions on each of our lands along with our photos to help us tell a story about the history of each area.
Additional tasks in the role includes the following:
- Record feedback on programs
- Schedule a volunteer when a seminar has been agreed
- Assist volunteers in writing about native Ireland nature
- Assist in creating a lunch and learn seminar
- Assist in school education programs
- Establish biweekly meetings with education volunteers
- Assist in grant applications

- Experience in programme design, delivery, and evaluation
- Experience in project management
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in the Charity Sector
- Experience in leading volunteers
- Experience in grant application writing
- Experience in Impact Management is beneficial
- Experience in writing nature based programs

3. Partnership Lead
The Purpose of Your Role: As Partnerships Lead, your role will be to lead a group of volunteers and apply for grants available to Green Sod and help refine our fundraising pitch. You will be reporting to an Executive Director and will be asked to provide updates to the Board of Green Sod Ireland.
The Expertise We’re Looking For: Green Sod Ireland is looking for someone with a background in applying for grants and fundraising that has experience working in the charity sector. We are looking to expand our grant application process so we can execute our land projects to take a more active approach in managing our 7 lands. We are also finalizing our program offerings to assist in fundraising through private and corporate donations. The Partnership Lead will work with our group of volunteers that are focused on this initiative.
Additional tasks in the role includes the following:
- Engaging with potential donors
- Edit and finalize Green Sod’s presentation on program offerings
- Assist in creating documentation for grants
- Collaborate with the Marketing volunteers on partnership events
- Collaborate with the Land Management Lead to apply for grants
- Lead biweekly meetings with volunteers
